## 1. Positioning & approved copy

### Locked statements (use verbatim)
- **Tagline:** "Engineering at the limit of physics."
- **Hero line:** "The agent proposes. Physics decides."
- **One-liner:** "Neuralectic is a research lab building verifiable engineering superintelligence through connected models, intelligent search, and independent checks."
- **Short description (OG/social):** "Physics defines what can be built. The cost of engineering determines what gets tried. Neuralectic is building verifiable engineering superintelligence."
- **Manifesto headline:** "Unlocking AI for the physical world"
- **Location line:** "We're building Neuralectic Systems now, in San Francisco."
- **CTA:** "Let's talk ↗" linking to info@neuralectic.com.

### What we do
Neuralectic brings together research in quantum physics, robotics and machine learning. The result is an **adaptive harness** that explores new ideas and learns by testing them against physics. It gives engineers **traceable evidence, reproducible checks, and bold designs they can trust**. Every result is checked against requirements, numerical evidence and physical constraints.

### Names
- Company: Neuralectic Systems Inc. Use "Neuralectic" in running text.
- Product/harness name: **Tekton** ("An adaptive harness for engineering"). Pair it with the company name on first mention.

## 2. Color tokens

```css
:root {
  --paper:    #16141A; /* every page background */
  --strong:   #F0F0F0; /* Marshmallow White: headlines on dark, light surfaces */
  --ink:      #CFC9D6; /* body text */
  --muted:    #A29CA9; /* meta, captions */
  --rule:     #2E2A35; /* 1px hairlines */
  --lavender: #BFA1F5; /* links, accent text */
  --violet:   #533FF4; /* Galactic Violet: primary accent, buttons, mark on light */
  --pink:     #EC73CE; /* Bubblegum Pink: highlights, one per view */
}
```

- **Defaults:** default to dark (Paper). Use Marshmallow as the light surface, with a violet mark and Paper text.
- **Approved pairs:**
  - Marshmallow on Paper
  - Ink on Paper
  - Lavender on Paper
  - Pink on Paper
  - Marshmallow on Violet
  - Paper on Pink
- **Never:** violet text on Paper for body text (low contrast), gradients, or more than one pink highlight per view. The gradient mark is the one exception.
- **Grain:** a faint static film grain on Paper (about ±4 levels). It is never a pattern.

## 3. Typography

- **Fonts:** IBM Plex Mono 400/500 and Zalando Sans 400/500/italic 400. Load them from Google Fonts: `family=IBM+Plex+Mono:wght@400;500&family=Zalando+Sans:ital,wght@0,400;0,500;1,400`.

| Role | Font | Size / line height | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display | Plex Mono 500 | 64px / 1.05 | letter-spacing -0.03em |
| H1 | Plex Mono 400 | 44px / 1.1 | -0.03em |
| H2 | Zalando Sans 400 | 32px | |
| Lead | Zalando Sans 400 | 19px | Muted |
| Body | Zalando Sans 400 | 17px / 1.65 | Ink |
| Label / eyebrow | Plex Mono 500 | 12px | uppercase, 0.14em, Pink |

## 4. Mark & lockup

- **Mark:** the fish N. Height/width ratio is **0.62** (viewBox `0 0 1000 620`).
  - **Primary:** the primary mark is the gradient mark: the N runs Galactic Violet #533FF4 to Bubblegum Pink #EC73CE (linear, left to right), and the swirls are solid violet. File: `https://brand.neuralectic.com/mark.svg`.
  - **Solid fallbacks:** `https://brand.neuralectic.com/mark-violet.svg`, `https://brand.neuralectic.com/mark-white.svg`, `https://brand.neuralectic.com/mark-pink.svg`. Use a solid single-color fallback (violet, white or pink) below 64px (nav, favicons, app chrome), in one-color print, embroidery and on violet or pink backgrounds.
- **Lockup:** the mark sits left of the "Neuralectic Systems Inc." wordmark (Plex Mono 500). The tagline sits beneath it in Zalando Sans, Muted.
- **Colors:** Marshmallow White on Paper or Violet. Violet on Marshmallow. Paper on Pink.
- **Clear space:** at least half the mark's height on all sides. Minimum size is 24px wide on screen and 10mm in print.
- **Don'ts:**
  - Don't recolor it outside Violet, Marshmallow or Pink.
  - Don't use any gradient other than the supplied primary mark, and don't apply it to type or backgrounds.
  - Don't outline it. It is always filled: the gradient primary or a solid fallback.
  - Don't stretch, squash, rotate or re-trace it.
  - Don't add glows, shadows or bevels.
  - Don't place it on busy photos or crop it.

## 5. Layout & components

- **Layout:**
  - Use a single manifesto column, 39rem, on content pages. Grids max out at 1216px.
  - Give sections 96px vertical padding, separated by 1px Rule hairlines.
  - Nav: mark and wordmark on the left, menu on the right, sticky with a translucent Paper fade.
- **Buttons:** violet fill, white text, 2px radius, 12×24 padding. Use **one main button per block** and pair it with a quiet Lavender text link.
- **Tags:** Plex Mono 12px pills. Neutral uses a Rule outline. Violet or Pink fill only for emphasis.
- **Cards:** 1px Rule border, 24px padding, no shadows.

## 6. Motion

- **The mark:** it enters with the attractor reveal: the swirls are attractor phase portraits, so 6–10 glowing particles (violet #533FF4 to pink #EC73CE) trace the swirl paths, spiraling inward like orbits converging on an attractor with fading trails; over about 2.4s (ease-out cubic) the trails resolve into the filled gradient mark, which holds while particles orbit faintly. 60fps canvas, lightweight. Static mark under prefers-reduced-motion. Never sway, spin or bounce. Show it static under prefers-reduced-motion.
- **Brand film:** an 8s loop. The N draws on and fills, then the line fades in and holds.
- **Reduced motion:** respect `prefers-reduced-motion`, where everything is still.

## 7. Channels & applications

- **OG / social (1200×630):** Paper background with the wordmark top-left and the hero line large in Plex Mono, with "Physics decides." in Lavender. The primary gradient mark goes on the right. Use the reference at `https://brand.neuralectic.com/og.png`.
- **Decks:** Paper slides with a Plex Mono title and one idea per slide. Put the mark on the title and closing slides only.
- **Merch:**
  - Colorways: white on Paper, white on Violet, violet on Marshmallow, Paper on Pink.
  - Placement: left chest or centered. Never wrap the mark around seams or crop it.
  - Production: gradient mark (mark.svg) for digital or full-color print on Paper, Marshmallow or canvas; solid fallback for embroidery and one-color screen print. Match violet to #533FF4 and pink to #EC73CE.
- **Applications (signage, billboard, stationery, banners, flag):**
  - Use the gradient mark where it prints well, or one solid color, with generous space and short lines from §1.
- **Email signature:** one mark, name, role, neuralectic.com, nothing else.
